Molly Monday: Stromboli and calzone recipes

My family loves these recipes and they are super easy to make. Enjoy.

Make a pizza crust using your favorite recipe.

My favorite crust recipe is:

I pkg. active dry yeast
1 cup luke warm water
1 TBSP olive oil
1 TBSP sugar
1 tsp salt
1.5 cups flour

In luke warm water add yeast. Allow yeast to activate. To tell if the yeast is activating it looks frothy. Add in oil, sugar and salt. Stir and let hang out for a spell (about a minute). Then slowly mix in flour. Flour amount is approximate. You want to add flour until it forms a dough. Gently knead until it is silky smooth looking. Put in a bowl and let rest. For Calzones and Strombolis I would allowed to rest for about 3 hours. It sounds like a long time but the longer you let it sit the fluffier your dough.

Calzones (a pizza turnover)

Divide dough into four parts and roll out individually. Add favorite pizza fixings into center of each dough circle. Fold over the dough and form into a turnover. Bake at a preheated over at 400 degrees. Cook about 15-22 minutes or until golden brown crust. Enjoy!

Stromboli (a deli meat turnover)

Divide dough into four parts and roll out individually. At your favorite deli meat and cheese into the center of dough. Fold over the dough and form into a turnover. Bake at a preheated over at 425 degrees. Coke about 8-12 minutes or until golden brown crust. Enjoy!

Super easy and super yummy!
