Aidan has some serious jealousy issues.
Ann and Aidan anxiously awaiting the arrival for the candy.

Red, White and Blues.
The group watching the parade...or Lorraine giving me the eye...
The eye that says...put that silly camera away and pay attention!

Today was a very eventful and busy day. We woke up early and met Brian's family at there house so that we could walk over and watch the Layton parade. Brian hung back a bit so that he could walk over with the McFadden's. Ann and Lorraine were nice enough so save us some grass the night before so that we could watch the parade. The parade was...well...not as good as I remember as a child but fun all the same. Aidan proves himself to be very involved with things and he didn't disappoint during the parade. When the color guard passed, everyone (mostly) stood and gave there respects by placing there hands over there hearts. Not Aidan he was smiling so big and clapping fervently as they passed. Maybe he was just excited for the parade, I believe its because he is a proud American. Then as the military men and women passed. Aidan looked at me and said WOW and took off trying to get to them. All this proud mommy could think was...I would allow him to join such ranks...but he would have to wait at least 16 years.

After the parade we walked around the booths. We saw the Cassity's. I love them! Bishop and Judy Cassity are the same today as there were when they were my Bishop. The only difference...Bishop is just a little bit grayer than I remember. :)

After that we headed back to Brian's parents' house and decided to go and eat at Cafe Rio for lunch. Thanks Pat for such a delicioso lunch!

Then we returned to the house for some down time. I had hoped that Aidan would have taken a nap, but no.

At 430 PM Brian dropped us off at Suzie's house (he had to work at the theater). Grandma and Grandpa and Gary were all there also and we all enjoyed a yummy hot dog barbeque. Yummy! Then the McFadden's stopped by and we set off some fireworks and played a couple of hands of UNO. Then the Reed Arnold family came over for some more fireworks. Fun! Fireworks make me nervous, but I do enjoy them. Then we all congregated in Suzie's backyard for a spectacular view of Clearfield City's fireworks show. At that time, Aidan was proving himself to be a very VERY tired little man. So Ann and Lorraine took us home. 30 minutes later (to go .8 miles!) we arrived safetly home.

Then Ann, Lorraine, and I proceeded to play and quick game of Phase 10. It was nice to be able to sit around and visit with them. I have some seriously cool sisters-in-law. I love it when they come over to visit. I enjoy there company. They are very entertaining!

And now Aidan is asleep, I am blogging and Brian is on his way home from work. Currently time 1:10AM....enough already....

Good night.

Happy 4th of July!!
