St. George Vacation Feb 09
This is a picture of Aidan. I find it adorable. He just played at the park with Grandpa and Grandma and Jordan and Mom and Dad. He is trying on his new sunglasses enjoying the sun. More pictures will come later. This is just too priceless. Aidan loves being outside and playing with family.

A new toy for me....
So I used to have a treadmill and then through the course of moves and necessity I sold it. At the time I was okay with it, but I have often just kicked myself. I loved the convenience of having one. Well Brian and I have been talking for a while. This was going to be a purchase for when we moved into a new house. But instead it was when we moved in with Suzie. We found this treadmill (and the pictures were taken from) KSL.com. Cost $300.00. I love it! It is the model just above my old one and here's the funny part. I sold my old treadmill for $300 and bought another for $300. Well, I found it kind of funny. I am so excited to get started using it. I should be thinking of using it for the convenience of a weight loss program but I am not. I just want to be more active and then later I will start doing more and getting more aggressive with it. I thought have a treadmill would be fabulous because then I can be with Aidan and still be active. Thanks again honey for buying such a sweet toy...or piece of machinery.

Aidan and his Zee
She might be mad, but I wanted to post this picture of Aidan and his Aunt Suzie. Since we have moved into her basement, Aidan has grown incredibly fond of his great aunt. He enjoys playing with her. They chase each other all around the house. If she leaves the room, Aidan is quick to follow. He also enjoys teasing her. If she sets down a bottle of water...Aidan will wait for the right moment and then grab it and run. Usually setting in some obscure location, my favorite has been the bathroom. He loves her so much he eagerly climbs the stairs every morning in hopes of finding her. He also can say ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (short for Suzie)...but only when he wants to. He also anxiously runs to the back door when she arrives home from work. He is so eager that she usually has a hard time getting through the door. This is just to say that Aidan loves his Aunt ZEEEEEEE. And to let her know that we love her and thank her for all that she does. She is such a sweetie pie!!!
Aidan the Artist
Because his Aunt Suzie love him...she bought him a color wonder coloring book and markers. He sure does love it. I loves being able to run around with the markers and not get them taken away. He loves to just sit on the floor and color. He also loves it if others color with him. Aidan, mommy's little artist.
My Little Drummer Boy
Ann, Brian's sister bought Guitar Hero World Tour. What a wonderful investment! We have borrowed her game and have been having little get togethers at Suzie's house. Aidan is constantly watching and wanting to play. The other day he saw that we were getting everything ready to play and he grabbed the drum sticks and ran over to the drum set and went nuts on them. So Brian put him on a chair and let him play. As you can see he is quite an amazing drummer. He also loves to sing. If you are trying to sing a song he will stand in front of the television and sing super loud. He loves to hold onto the microphone and do interviews. It sounds funny because he is only one...but soon...I will post pictures of my little rock star. Videos of him singing and playing the guitar. All are hilarious. Oh...he also dances in circles as he sings. Trust me...it is soooo cute!

Blogging....bringing people together
Kind of a corny title I know but I am so excited to let everyone know some of the benefits of blogging and most especially blog stalking. I really hate to say blog stalking. It sounds so creepy and sneaky. When I blog stalk it usually means that I found someone through a mutual friend who is a long lost friend. When that happens I usually always leave the long lost friend a note telling them who I am and what I am doing. Well in the last little while I have found two long lost acquintances and friends. It is truly amazing how small this world is and how that game six degrees really works.
First experience is one day I was walking through Barnes and Noble and remembering when one of my sister's high school friends worked there. I knew that she had finished school, got married and had a baby...but then what else? Not to be nosy just pondering. And then there she was...she started a blog and I found her. It was so wonderful to see how beautiful her daughter was, how her sisters are doing and most of all just say hello. So this is a shout out to Darcy....long time no see...glad I could say hello.
The second experience is just as ridiculous as the first, but it means something to me. I was discussing with Brian some of my friends from high school and where I thought they were. Then I wondered if Tori was still in Hooper? I tried finding an address back when it was time to deliver wedding annoucements and couldn't find her. I wonder how life is doing for her. She was such a wonderful bubbly spirit. And when she started dating Russ, she was so happy. I heard she had a baby and went to beauty school...but what else? Maybe one day I will find her. Months go by. Then I am blog stalking one day and there she was. I saw this link that made me think of her and it was her. How exciting! Then I left her a message and BOOM! She was able to call me. We didn't chat for long but how wonderful it was to talk to her. Her life sounds amazing and I hope that soon we can get to gether and visit.
I guess the moral of this story is the internet is a dangerous place. It can be addictive and destructive but it can also be an amazing tool that I can't help but thank Heavenly Father for it. One should be careful. It is a very powerful tool. How wonderful it is to find long lost friends and family, but it can also go awry. You can also be found. So be careful.
I have pondered about going private. I can't bring myself to do it! I think it is because I want others to be able to find me. With out realizing it you meet lots of people and many go quickly. But through blogs and the internet...you can stay close to loved ones. And if you are reading this I am so grateful for you. I love you all!
Enough cheese....now go do something off the internet. Stop blogging! :)

12 month well baby visit....
Today I took Aidan in for his 12 month well baby visit. That meant lots and lots of shots... six to be exact. One in each arm, two in each leg. When the nurse stuck in the first needle into his arm he didn't do anything. When she did the second arm he looked at her like...why would you do that. Then the first set of two in his leg, he got all panicky...he had figured out this game and didn't like it much. At this point though there was no crying or tears. When she went for the second leg, last two shots. He waited until she was done and screamed and cried for just a second. Long enough for two tears to come out. Then he stopped. Looked at the nurse and basically fell out of my hands and went to her. He gave her a big hug, pulled away, hit her on the chest, had quiet a mouthful of Ewok to say (he is very talkative just in a language I don't speak, Brian says it sounds like Ewok), then smiled at her, gave her a second hug and then wanted down off of her lap. He hasn't cried since.
This story is just to illustrate what a brave amazing baby boy I have.
As we left the nurse said that she thought he was adorable. I agree. I also think that Aidan still loves her, and now that they worked through there problems, everything will be fine between them. Cute huh!

12 Month Baby Check up
On Monday I took Aidan in for his 12 month check up. Let's just say that my kid is so much fun. We waited in the waiting room for about 45 minutes. Totally abnormal for our doctor. While we were waiting Aidan was so very eager to visit with all of the other patrons to the doctor's office. I was a wee bit weary because we were at a doctor's office and one would think that the greater portion of people there were ill and contagious. So I tried to keep little Aidan at bay. I brought books and and couple of toys to help with the entertainment factor. He was very eager to smile and talk with everyone. One by one everyone was called back to a room before us. Aidan watched intently as they disappeared. Then finally it was our turn. The nurse called for Aidan and he looked up from his book and jumped off my lap and ran to the nurse. Because he was walking so well the nurse asked if I wanted to weigh him on the big scale and use the big measuring stick. She pointed to the scale and Aidan stepped right on. He was so interested in the numbers that were moving that the nurse laughed. Then we stood him next to the wall. After that we tried to walk to the exam room. Aidan followed the nurse eagerly but at every door that was open, he stopped, smiled, said something completely unintelligable to me and then continued on his way. He gave the doctor a big hug and visited with the nurses. I can't believe how incredibly social and friendly my little guy is. I was worried because of the shots...but there were no shots that day. Aidan showed signs of an ear infection and though normally it wouldn't have been an issue the doctor recommended waiting a little bit. I think it is so that Aidan would come back and visit and flirt and chat with the doctor. I so love my little guy!

Aidan's big day..
Aidan's first birthday was on Saturday February 7. I didn't cry. But all last week I was very reflective and pensive. I so can't believe that a full year has past! Good grief!!! it went by fast!
On Friday I made a bunch of cupcakes and then I fashioned a much bigger cupcake for my birthday boy. Later that night Suzie and I frosted and put sprinkles on them. I did cupcakes because I thought it would be fun for all of the little kids that we invited. But it turned out amazing. I have never enjoyed cutting the cake, and pre-made portions made it so much easier to serve.
On Saturday morning Brian and I put up a happy birthday banner. Then Aidan anxiously awaited his friends. People started coming over about 130PM. The party was scheduled to start at 2PM. Aidan had lots of family and friends come and visit. Aidan loved it when we sang to him. I have been singing happy birthday to him for about a month now, I wanted him to be familiar with the song and get excited. He loved it. He is such a cute little ham. He got excited, ran in a circle, then he clapped and smiled, then in the middle he acted all shy and then he giggled and clapped again. So adorable! He enjoyed opening up his presents. He received so many wonderful things. I can' t begin to name them! But we would like to take a moment and say thank to everyone who came.
Then it was time for cake and ice cream. Yummy! Aidan loved his cupcake. He enjoyed it so much that I had to give him a bath immediately. Then everything started to wind down about 4PM. And Aidan passed out shortly after that. What a long and wonderful day.
Thanks again to the Mizell's, Larson's, Lincoln's, Bovee's, Bennett's, Armga's, Arnold's, McFadden's, Cunningham's, Suzie, Jeremy, Katelyn, Great Grandma Wilson, Grandparents Armga and Larson, Great Grandparents Arnold, Hughes' and all the others who made Aidan's first birthday spectacular...we love you all so much!

Aidan's First Birthday
Aidan and his very own super big cupcake. He loves cake and especially cool things like that flame on top. He kept trying to touch it.
Aidan loves his very own cake. He was very careful and proper. Making sure that he liked his fingers after every bite. Once he realized that he go crazy and eat it like a choco-holic he did in fact go crazy. This is the finished product after eating all the frosting off of the cake. He didn't really want to eat the actual cake part. Silly boy!
Everyone visiting and enjoying the party. So many people came. Aidan is loved by so many.Suzie and Aidan opening presents. He loved all of them.
